Branding Showcase: Schlosberg Jordan

How did we distill an esoteric and highly technical business concept into an elegantly simple brand? We began with the personalities of the founders.

Project Brief

Schlosberg Jordan (SJ) needed a new website and branding that would effectively communicate how the two sides of their business combine to provide a unique service for their clients.

Challenges:

Anyone who meets Rich and Rick can clearly see that the personalities and the relationship of these two partners are important parts of why and how their business work. Rich is the brilliant scientist and Rick is the business guru with a background in law. Together, with their decades of experience, they help energy sector start-ups understand business, technical and risk problems. The biggest challenge was communicating their services succinctly and elegantly. The branding also needed to appeal to SJ’s tech-savvy, forward-thinking, entrepreneurial clients—SJ did not want to look like boring lawyers.

The Solution:

The logo mark features two linked diamond shapes which captures the idea of two entities combining.

Gradient colors are used in the logo mark and throughout the branding which offers a sense of movement and modernity, elevating the brand beyond “traditional” or “conservative”.
